Haikou, People's Daily Online, August 26th (Reporter Li Xueshan) On August 26th, the reporter learned from the relevant press conference that the 3rd Hainan International Tropical  Food Supply Chain Expo (referred to as “HIFCE”) will be held from October 16th to 18th. In the crucial year for the custom closure and further opening up of Hainan Free Trade Port, this exhibition will effectively connect the domestic and international markets and promote the deep integration of the food industry with cross-border trade, deep processing and digital supply chain.

As the first major exhibition on the theme of tropical food supply chain in China, HIFCE won the recommendation of China Brand Innovation and Development Project, was the only exhibition brand selected from Hainan, and was rated as the leading professional exhibition in the industry by China Convention/Exhibition/Event Society. With the theme of “focusing on global tropical good ingredients and building a dual-cycle trade platform", this Expo will take fully use of policies&dividends of Hainan Free Trade Port and location advantages, providing with tariff preferences and trade convenience for enterprises, effectively connecting the domestic and international markets, and promoting the deep integration of the ingredients industry with cross-border trade, deep processing and digital supply chain.

With a total area of 50,000 square meters, this year HIFCE has set up 16 professional exhibition areas in four major halls, namely, food and beverage hall、coconut&coffee&spice hall、 frozen seafood hall and catering supply chain hall, covering tropical fruits and vegetables、marine aquatic products、poultry meat、condiments、cross-border e-commerce、cold chain logistics and catering technology. It is expected to attract nearly 4,000 brands from more than 50 tropical countries and regions around the world.

It is worth mentioning that the three special exhibition areas of coffee, coconut and spices&condiments specially will focus on presenting high-quality coffee beans from Southeast Asia、Africa、Latin America and other places, Hainan deeply processing coconut products, and innovating tropical compound seasoning, so as to fully meet the high-quality procurement needs of catering chains、food industry、new retail and other channels.

The international characteristics of this exhibition are remarkable, attracting leading domestic food enterprises such as CP Group、Far East Holding Group、 Shineway、Jinluo、LuHua、Guoquanshihui、Nanguo、Coconut Palm‌、Chunguang and Dufengxuan, as well as high-quality industry enterprises from tropical countries such as Malaysia halal food exhibition group、Thailand、Vietnam、Cambodia、Laos、Togo and Mali. At present, the Organizing Committee has reached cooperation with more than 30 international groups from embassies, consulates and business associations&chambers of commerce, and many domestic tropical provinces will also organize delegations to participate in, realizing "gathering international and domestic good ingredients in one-stop ".
